Surfactants

Good to know

Surfactants are the main ingredients of handdish detergents. They lift dirt and oil from dishes, pots, pans and cutlery and emulsify it, so that it can be easily removed. All our surfactants are fully biodegradable.

Main surfactants in hand dishwashing detergents are anionic and nonionic surfactants: Anionic surfactants are particularly effective for oily soil cleaning and nonionic surfactants are excellent grease removers.

How do we use surfactants?

We use surfactants widely in our laundry and home care products. They are crucial for any cleaning process.

Surfactants can be petrochemically sourced or be of natural origin (oleo-based), e.g. from palm (kernel) oil.
