Clean your kitchen with dish liquid

You’ve washed your dishes, and they’re sitting beside the sink, air drying in a dish rack. Your cleaning job is done, right? Wrong. There are many areas of your kitchen that need a bit of scrubbing to get rid of the dirt, food residue and grease created by daily life and your most recent meal prep. Thankfully, you don’t have to go out and purchase a special cleaner for each area of your kitchen. Pril dish liquid makes an excellent kitchen cleaner.

Kitchen Counter Cleaner: Using Dish Soap

Do you have an empty spray bottle on hand? Fill it with warm water and add one drop of Pril dish liquid. Shake gently to mix the dish liquid and water together, then spray your counter tops to use this solution as a kitchen counter cleaner. Wipe away with a clean towel. Make sure to refresh this mixture on a regular basis to ensure its effectiveness.

If you do not have a spray bottle you can alternatively pour a few drops of dish liquid into a bowl with warm water. Soak a sponge into this mixture until it absorbed the water and dish liquid and wring out well so it is not dripping wet. Scrub kitchen counters the with the soft side of the sponge until the dirt is removed and they sparkle again.

This solution works well for most countertops, especially those that are prone to streaks. Streaks result from grease sitting on the top of the counter. Most kitchen cleaners have the ability to sanitize or disinfect countertops, but only washing up liquid can easily cut through the same oils you have to remove from cookware and dishes on a daily basis. This solution is also an ideal option for ceramic- and glass-topped cooktops.

Cleaning Kitchen Cabinets

Kitchen cabinets are just as susceptible to grime, grease and food residue as your countertops. Whether it’s a melted chocolate bar you forgot or grease splatter from your fried chicken dinner, Pril washing up liquid can be the answer to cleaning kitchen cabinets.

First, get rid of as much dried, gooey or stuck-on food as possible using a paper towel. Then, using the spray-bottle solution or your water-liquid mixture in the bowl you used as a kitchen counter cleaner, to clean the kitchen cabinets. Scrub with a soft sponge to get rid of the mess, then quickly dry with a paper towel to avoid streaks.

How to Unblock Drains

Caustic chemicals in many liquid drain cleaners can eat away your plumbing, and calling a plumber to unclog a drain is a last, and expensive, resort. Many kitchen drain blockage issues have to do with grease but this can easily be taken care of with dish liquid and water. The secret is to pour a liberal amount of Pril’s dish liquid down the clogged sink drain. Meanwhile fill up the water kettle with tap water and bring it to the boil. After a few minutes (to allow the dish liquid to move down the plumbing and coat the blockage) run the boiling water down the drain, letting it mix with the washing up liquid and lift grease off the pipes and away.

How to Clean Stainless Steel Appliances

Pril dish washing liquid is a fantastic option for cleaning kitchen appliances, especially stainless steel options. To clean these kitchen appliances:

  1. Apply a few drops of Pril washing up liquid to a damp, soft sponge.
  2. Find the grain of the stainless steel. If you’re having trouble seeing it, try feeling the grain using your fingers.
  3. Then, begin washing the appliance, starting at the top and moving in the direction of the grain.
  4. Rinse off excess dish liquid completely.
  5. Dry quickly with a clean towel to prevent staining and water spots.

Using Dish Liquid as a Sink Cleaner

You just had a pile of dirty dishes in your sink, and the water you drained wasn’t crystal clean any more. While it may not seem like it, your sink needs to be cleaned.

Start with a rinse. Use warm water to rinse food particles off the sides of the sink and into a sink trap or garbage disposal. Then, apply your Pril washing up liquid. Circle the drain with the dish liquid; this should provide you with just the right amount of soap for the job. Use a clean, soft sponge to scrub the bottom and sides of the sink in a circular motion, then rinse. Start rinsing on the side, using a faucet pull-down or hose attachment if possible. If you don’t have one, use a cup full of water instead.

Want a clean kitchen? Clean your kitchen with dish liquid; it works for countertops, drains, cabinets, sinks and all of your appliances.
