How much dish liquid should I use?

Pril’s long lastingness lets you clean a large amount of dishes with just a small amount of dish liquid. Using the correct amount of dish liquid prevents you from wasting it, and ultimately, it saves you money. It can also make your dishes easier to rinse. If you’re using too much, you may have to run your plates, cups and utensil under the rinse water longer to remove all of the soap. This wastes water, time and, if your dishes aren’t thoroughly rinsed, puts your dishes at risk for tasting like dish liquid. This can affect the taste of your food and drink as well, making them taste soapy.

The correct dosage of washing up liquid depends on the exact product you’re using. It also depends on what you’re using the dish liquid for. There are many uses of dishwashing liquid. For instance, you may use it to clean your car, scrub the dirt off your appliances or to mop your floors.

If you’re doing up your dishes by hand, however, the following are some tips on the correct dosage to use when washing with Pril.

Pril Original and Pril Sensitive: Correct Dosages

For Pril non-concentrated dish liquids, a normal dosage of 5 ml (or 1.5 teaspoons) per 5 litres of water is typically all that is needed.

If you’re dealing with stubborn, stuck-on food and staining, you will need to use more dish liquid and let the dishes soak in for a couple of minutes. About 5 ml per 1 liter of water should be enough to get your dishes clean.

Pril Power Gel: Correct Dosages

Knowing how much dish detergent to use when you’re washing with Pril power gel is important as well. Under normal circumstances, about 3 ml (or 1 teaspoon) of washing up liquid for every 5 litres of water will help get rid of dirt and grime on your dishes. If you’re washing pots, pans or any other kind of dish with heavy staining, however, you’re going to need some extra power. Use approximately 5 ml (1.5 teasponns) of dish liquid for every 1 litre of water and make sure to let your dishes soak in for a couple of minutes to facilitate the cleaning process.

Should I See Bubbles?

Many people make the mistake of thinking that suds equal dish liquid, and as soon as the suds are gone, they add more dish liquid to the mix. In reality, the dish liquid is present long after the physical evidence (those beautiful bubbles) are gone. In most cases, you can continue to wash your dishes and get them clean without any suds present.

Do you know how much dish liquid to use? Avoid using too much by following the correct dosages recommended for your chosen Pril dish liquid.
